The Ravens Warband is a group of re-enacters of the early Anglo-Saxon period (circa 500AD). As well as engaging in re-enactment of Anglo-Saxon warfare and crafts we conduct research into the period and make reproduction equipment. The group is committed to maintaining the highest standard of historical accuracy in the equipment made and used.
Work is currently underway on a reconstruction of an early medieval settlement in West Wales. The aim is to build a house and ancillary buildings from scratch using authentic tools and techniques. The settlement will then serve as a base for craft activities such as forging, fabric production (spinning, dying and weaving), pottery etc. For updates see the link below.
